Due to the overwhelming response to the first ever Johannesburg Discworld Day, the team that has brought you 6 Magical Medieval Fayres, Fantasy Fayre and A Viking Thing are back again with another Discworld experience.
The team at AlterEgos Events says ‘Join us in a celebration of life on Sir Terry Pratchett’s birthday (28 April) by honouring his legacy and experiencing his Discworld with us.
Discover the streets of Ankh-Morpork, the greatest city of the Discworld. A folkloresque network of old lanes, squares and alleys for your walking pleasure. Wherre exitement and trolls lurke arounde everry corner and much may be heard the traditional street cries of old time also the laughing visages of the denuizens as they goe about their business private.’
Held at the exquisite La Vue Lodge in Muldersdrift, there will be activities for young and old including the Discworld Dress Up Contest, the Broken Drum Tavern Quizz and introducing An Ankh-Morpork Adventure Treasure Hunt. Featuring themed food, all day movie screenings, craft beer and market stalls. Rats-onna-stick, Scumble and themed food for the most die-hard of fans, enjoy the market stalls as you stroll through streets of our Ankh-Morpork.
