Gospel artists raise the roof in praise and worship in Mohlakeng

Top musicians Keke and Omega gave their best in praise and worship during a major crusade in Mohlakeng.

Top gospel artist Keke Phoofolo raised the roof during the Rand West for Jesus Crusade held at Mohlakeng’s Madupe Park.

The crusade kicked off on September 30 and concluded on October 5, during which time local clergy from different denominations preached and taught.

The clergy are Pastor Lizo Steyn, Mbui Nakasa, Lebogang Lebeko, Thami Sibeko, Bishop John Matome and Ntate Rampuru.

Some of the pastors who preached at the crusade.

“A crusade of this kind that has brought communities together with a tent in a park sends out a message that Jesus’ cross could have been at Hillbrow or an informal settlement,” said pastor Buying Zulu.

“There is power when people come together and therefore numbers do matter. Rand West City arises and shines. Rand West City that God is here,” added pastor Lebogang.

Even cold weather could not hold people from praising and worshipping. Keke Phoofolo in particular, was energetic on stage and had a major passion similar to that of a rock artist who had everyone in the marque dancing.

Omega Khunou at the crusade.

Omega Khunou was also at his utmost best. He delivered Agnus Dei, done by Michael W Smith, with a worship spirit that had some congregation members, clergy, and congregation on the knees. The melodious saxophone played by Lethabo Mekoe, a Randfontein High School learner, provided more worship fire.
