Nearly R3K raised for needy animals

No More Tears Animal Rescue recently held a knowledgeable Quiz Night at Nate’s Restaurant to raise funds for the animals in need.

“We need funds, so the quiz night was an interesting way to interact with the community. The average donations we receive are very slow at the moment,” said director Stephan Hendricks.

The quiz night made a total of R2 600 in donations that were given to the organisation which they used to pay their vet bills.

“Even if we only made R500 it still would have been successful because with that amount a person can close some sort of gap,” he stated.

Furthermore, No More Tears is very thankful for Nate’s Restaurant which provided the venue and event.

“The community enjoyed it,” Stephan emphasised.

Currently, No More Tear’s vet bills are around R20 000 and they owe about R13 000 for their kennel fees. If anyone can assist No More Tears with donations, contact 084 433 7748 or send an email to info@nomoretears.org.za.
