Life Robinson proudly recognises its nurses

Life Robinson Private Hospital celebrated and honoured its very own Florence Nightingales.

Life Robinson Private Hospital joyfully recognised their nursing staff on International Nurses Day.

On May 10, the hospital invited their nurses into the boardroom to celebrate their dedication and commitment.

The boardroom was decorated with lit candles where hospital management shared messages of thanks and also details of the nominees for the Life Healthcare Great 100 Nurses. The staff concluded with the nurses’ pledge of service. Thereafter, staff were gifted with a food package to enjoy during lunch.

“International Nurses Day is an important day on our hospital calendar because it allows us to honour and celebrate our nurses for their incredible commitment to excellence in patient care. Our nurses not only work hard to provide quality nursing but they heal the body, mind and soul of many of our patients, with compassion and care,” hospital manager Dr Marinda Overbeek said.

Life Healthcare took the opportunity to thank the community for putting their trust in the nurses. Life Healthcare’s Chief Nurse Officer Merle Victor has also extended her thanks to all Life Healthcare nurses.

“We recognise and applaud the work you do, not only for our company but also for the people in your communities. Your compassion, care, and professionalism are highly valued and contribute significantly to the overall well-being of our organisation, individuals, and society as a whole,” Merle stated.

Mandy Perry, Christie van den Berg, Dr Marinda Overbeek, Vanessa Sesamane and Crystal Grunewald say the nurses’ pledge of service.

According to marketing and communications specialist, Melanie van Staden, nurses are skilled healthcare professionals who blend the science and art of nursing with an unwavering dedication to care for the sick and the vulnerable.

“We salute our nurses for living up to our purpose of making life better and placing our patients at the centre of care,” Dr Overbeek concluded.
