Two vehicles collided due to a slippery Homestead Avenue on Wednesday morning, February 14.
The Herald was on the scene following the rear-end crash between two light motor vehicles and upon our arrival noticed both drivers on the side of the road, unscathed. What was noticeable, however, was the oil covered road.

Both the drivers said they were driving in the slipway from Homestead Avenue towards Kenneth Road and when they attempted to hit the brakes, their vehicles slipped.

Marius Fortune from First Help said the motorists of the crash were acquaintances and confirmed the oily substance on the road came from a truck. He emphasised that the scene could have been avoided had the oil not been spilt.
