The SPCA invites young pet owners to stand a chance to win cash prizes.
Calling all young pet owners. Get your pen and paper ready because the RandWest SPCA is inviting all children to participate in a competition.
Children from the age of seven to 13 can participate in the competition by writing a letter about their pet. The letter must contain unique descriptions of special skills and habits their pets have. The letter should contain a maximum of 100 words or one paragraph. Attached to the descriptive letter should be a neatly drawn picture of the pet. The participants are allowed to write and draw any pet from dogs and cats to birds and bunnies, even reptiles.
There will be winners for first, second and third place. A shopping voucher for R300, R200 and R100 will be given to the winners.
The competition starts on February 15 and will end on March 14.
Participants can deliver their letters and drawings at the Randfontein Herald office situated in Homelake.
