Help keep the SPCA moving: Tyre donation needed
As a result, the organisation is struggling to get around with one of their bakkies due to the tyres having been worn out.
The RandWest SPCA is appealing to residents and businesses to offer a helping hand and donate new or second-hand tyres for one of their vehicles.
This is according to the organisation’s manager René van Straten who said that they are struggling to get around with one of their bakkies due to the tyres having been worn out.
As a result, this is impacting their operations as a whole, particularly when they have to drive out to reach animals in need of help.
“The one tyre on our vehicle is completely worn out and we would appreciate a donation of four tyres, but even two will do. They’ve become worn out due to the normal wear and tear and one of them even has a permanent slow puncture which is no longer repairable. This makes it unsafe to drive the vehicle and we would appreciate any help in getting the tyres,” said Van Straten.
