Westonaria musician hopes to make it big

Originally born in Simunye, Vena is not only a musician but a pastor as well.

Westonaria resident Prince Vena plans on making it big in the entertainment industry and through music, he hopes to help the fight against social ills, especially gender-based violence (GBV).

Originally born in Simunye, Vena is not only a musician but a pastor as well.

He recently spoke to the Randfontein Herald about his love for music and how it was sparked while in church when he was a toddler.

That’s where he grew to love music and wants to use his voice to make a change. He also hopes to one day share a stage with prominent artists.

“I look forward to making a name for myself in the music industry. I have released my first single titled Khuluma, which translates to break the silence on August 31 and I know that it will make the rounds. I’m hoping the song becomes big because I’m planning to create a movement and partner with brands that fight against GBV and all other social ills within communities,” said Vena.

He added that he had his first show as an artist in 2022, where he shared the stage with other upcoming artists at a local event.
