Close to 100 beanies donated to disability centre

Local NPO Proud Fathers and Diale Funerals were able to gift at least 90 people at a disability centre warm beanies to keep warm this winter.

The Good Samaritan Mandla Hamnca is again at it, this time collaborating with a local businessman of Diale Funerals to provide people with winter supplies, notably warm beanies. This was done at the Itireleng Association For The Physically Disabled in Mohlakeng on June 15.

According to Hamnca, the founder of the NPO Proud Fathers, the purpose was to show appreciation to the disabled community and give them an item that will keep them warm this winter.

“We as proud fathers would like to take this opportunity to thank local entrepreneur Godfrey Diale for his continuous support as well as his involvement in helping the community. He is a local businessman who is very involved in community projects and he gave us the necessary resources for the winter items.

We were able to purchase 90 beanies for the warmth of our people in the community during this cold weather and we’re also looking forward to being able to do more as we’re driven by love,” said Hamnca, who is no stranger to offering a helping hand across Rand West City.

He recently gifted domestic workers comfortable shoes and gave out tea to the homeless on a cold day.

Hamnca is adamant that this is not the end, as he is currently finalising his sponsorship for blankets which will go toward homeless people in the streets of Randfontein.
