The event had many information stalls where visitors received pamphlets and booklets which would provide them with valuable information regarding health and lifestyle. The West Rand Health District hosts several events such as this one to reach out to the community as a means of educating about illnesses, medication, and health benefits that come with living a healthy lifestyle. This was also an opportunity to know your health workers and what they do to ensure that you receive the best quality healthcare.

The main stakeholders present at the event were the National Health Laboratory Service which is responsible for research in the South African health sector. They also provide various medical equipment to hospitals such as microscopes, and injections, and conduct diagnosis.
The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) was another stakeholder whose duty was to educate the public about the importance of blood donation and how much your lifestyle affects your blood flow.
Among the speakers was Lala Mosholi who was the coordinator of the event who highlighted the importance of being part of such events.
“I hope the public would make use of the services available to them. Since the pandemic, the amount of people using health services has been alarming, while attending them in hospitals is good, it is important that we are proactive and learn about our health before it is too late,” said Lala.
Lala was satisfied with the role they played to run the event and hopes more people will turn up to learn more about health services.
