Be the Future Foundation is an emerging NPO that recognises and promotes human rights.

The organisation’s founder, Sandile Soxokashe, explained that unemployment, load-shedding, and the overall lack of service delivery affect the youth on the West Rand.

He added that while these challenges need to be addressed, young people should do so in a constructive manner and not through the damage of infrastructure.

“The event is intended to encourage public participation in critical issues and provide a platform for local youth to address those issues and develop potential solutions.

“We as the youth in the West Rand are affected by youth unemployment which continues to soar every day, as well as the never-ending load-shedding that is fully disrupting us, and those need to be tackled head-on.

“It is because of these issues that we are going to develop our youth manifesto which seeks to highlight these problems and bring forth solutions to redress our predicaments,” said Soxokashe.
