FJL Wells Primary learners strut their stuff to raise funds

The main purpose of the pageant was to showcase talent and raise funds for the school.

FJL Wells Primary School recently hosted a beauty pageant of their own where learners from different grades took to the stage to showcase their talent.

Held on Friday, February 17 at the school premises inside the hall saw scores of learners strut their stuff. The Herald also witnessed some of the learners singing and dancing on stage inspiring the crowd.

Speaking during an interview, one of the teachers Sindisiwe Mthembu said the event was aimed at also celebrating Valentine’s Day, which was celebrated recently.

We had such a stellar event on the day with the main purpose being to showcase talent and raise funds for the school. Our learners were also dressed in red and white all in celebration of the month of love. Not only did the learners have an amazing time but di we enjoyed watching them on the stage,” Mthembu said.

She added three winners were announced for each grade while every contestant was rewarded with a certificate of appreciation.
