Randfontein: No refuse collection due to fleet challenges

The Rand West City Local Municipality issued a statement for residents to take note that they are experiencing fleet challenges.
Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa said in the statement that as a result, they are unable to collect refuse as planned.
“We are currently in the process of resolving the challenge and we hope that all will be sorted, and everything should be back to normal from Monday, February 6.”
The following areas have been affected and will be attended to once this problem is resolved:
Region 1:
• Mohlakeng ext 3 and 5, Randgate, Randpoort, Greenhills ext 1 and 5, Randfontein North, South Porges ext 1 and 2 and Badirile.
Region 2:
• Bekkersdal Formal, Glenharvie ext 1, Westonaria Shops, Jachtfontein and Zuurbekom.
