Big turnout at bowling club’s first fun day of 2023

The first fun day of 2023 at Randfontein Bowling Club attracted more than 60 people with 54 players in action.

The greens at Randfontein Bowling Club were bustling during the club’s monthly fun day which was also the first for 2023.

With all the players on the green, bowls in hand, it was time to set off for another lovely Sunday morning of playing bowls and learning how the sport works. During the day there were lots of laughs to share and skills on display, with many familiar faces coming together after the holidays.

Club member Sunè Scheepers said the hot summer’s day attracted approximately 64 people and 54 players. She added the fun day is hosted to get more people to the club and to potentially gain more members.

“During the day we played a few ends while enjoying a lovely braai, a swim in the pool and listening to some music afterwards.”
