Man stabbed to death in Toekies

Randfontein Police are investigating a case of murder after a 32-year-old man was stabbed and killed in Pear Street, Toekomsrus early Monday morning, November 28.

Randfontein Police spokesperson Sergeant Carmen Hendricks confirmed the young man’s body was found at about 06:00.

“We received a complaint of murder and upon our arrival found an unknown man lying in the street with a stab wound to the upper body. The emergency medical services were called and the victim was declared dead by paramedics. The victim was later identified but the motive for the killing is unknown.

“A murder case has been opened and the case is under investigation,” said Captain Hendricks, who further requested community members who might have any information regarding the incident to come forward and help the police in bringing the perpetrator to justice.
