Scores support EPR 4×4 event for charity
People came to watch cars with big engines climb up hills, while others got behind the steering wheel themselves and tested the performance of their vehicles.
Residents and clients of EPR Security came out in their numbers to celebrate Heritage Day in true adrenaline-pumping style during the EPR 4X4 Hankook series event at Doorfonteinpan in Rodora on the outskirts of Randfontein.
On September 24 people came to watch cars with big engines climb up hills, while others got behind the steering wheel themselves and tested the performance of their vehicles.
The entrance fee to the event was R20 per person and R300 for a vehicle that would participate in the thrilling activities.
The Herald spoke to EPR Managing Director Johan Booysen at the event, who said they were happy with the turnout.
We’ve been hosting this event for a number of years but could not do so for two years due to the pandemic. We are very surprised and very fortunate to have 39 vehicles taking part in the activities,” said Booysen who added that they were very happy with the number of people they had drawn to the event.
The proceeds of the day will go towards the NH Kerk Sionspoort.
