Elzani Kirsten from Randfontein Christian Academy sees Heritage Day as a great opportunity to highlight the different cultures in the country.

I think it’s a good way to keep tradition alive and we get to look beautiful in our different attires,” said Elzani.

Washu Nesane from FJL Wells Primary School said Heritage Day teaches people about the diversity in the country.

For Zoe Chikanda it is fun to dress up for Heritage Day.

“Heritage Day is wonderful because we can dress up and represent our culture and where we come from.

It also gives us an opportunity to see our school mates’ different cultures and that promotes diversity,” said Washu.
