Wrestling, family fun and roaring engines at the Oval Raceway

The raceway held an awesome event on Saturday, September 17 which included a colour run, market, sound and shine and a sound off.

Residents from all over the West Rand came together at the Randfontein Oval Raceway on September 17 to enjoy a sunny Saturday outing with fast cars, roaring engines and family fun.

There was excitement in the air as the Honour Wrestling Association (HWA) brought some live entertainment during the day by showcasing their wrestling skills to the spectators. The children watched in awe as the wrestlers were slammed to the ground.

In the late afternoon the WOMZA Northern Region Regionals second leg kicked off with roaring engines and crowds gathering to watch some spectacular racing that included categories like quads, two-wheelers, hotrods, 2100s, flexis, stockrods and 1660s.

It went well for the majority of the drivers, while some met with the wall and others had some minor issues which made them end up in the middle of the oval, but that didn’t stop them from getting back on the track later in the evening.
