One dead in truck and bakkie collision
The driver of the truck survived the accident and was taken to the Carletonville Provincial Hospital.
One person has died and another injured when a truck and a bakkie collided on the R501 between Carletonville and Potchefstroom.
ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 14:30 on Thursday, September 15.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said they found the bakkie lying on its roof next to the road, while the truck and its trailer were found in a veld
Our paramedics found a man in his 30s trapped inside the bakkie. He is believed to have been the driver of the bakkie and he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
“The driver of the truck who is in his 40s was found walking near the truck,” said Meiring who added that he sustained minor injuries but was treated and transported to the Carletonville Provincial Hospital for further medical care.
