Rugby organiser at the school, Wessel van Staden said it was extremely difficult to achieve, especially since all sport was stopped in 2019 due to lockdown.

We only had one friendly match in preparation because we didn’t know when we would be able to resume the sport again.”

He added that with a three-year break in the players’ development, they didn’t have high expectations for the season, but with a single warm-up match and a rugby camp at school, the players reached their form at the right time.
