Bekkersdal music star wins top award
Ngwako Kekana famously known as Kinko is a 31-year-old from Bekkersdal who continues to break boundaries in the music industry.
Bekkersdal’s very own Ngwako Kekana is making waves in the music industry.
Besides having been nominated eight times throughout his career, Ngwako, famously known as Kinko, bagged the Prominent Musician award at the Limpopo Soldiers of Talent Awards event in Limpopo, which is an achievement he has always dreamed of.
Born and bred in the small village of Bolobedu in Limpopo, the 31-year-old continues to break boundaries in the industry.
“I started my journey back in 2012 and I released my first single shortly thereafter. It’s been a beautiful journey filled with both the good and the bad, but that has never deterred me from doing what I love.
Music has always been my passion and I’m glad it got me to where I am today,” said Kekana who added that he has enjoyed every minute of his journey of the past 10 years.
Asked how he felt about having bagged an award in his home town, Kekana said he was thrilled to know that his talent was getting the recognition it deserved.
“I was truly honoured to have been nominated so many times and finally winning an award. It shows that my talent is recognised and appreciated by my fans,” said Kekana
He has performed on different stages across the country and his passion for music has seen his brand grow stronger in the music industry over the years.
