Randfontein cops spoil teachers for Women’s Month

Randfontein Police reached out to some local teachers as part of their Women's Month celebrations.

Randfontein police celebrated Women’s Day in style and treated more than 30 teachers from Hartzstraat Primary School in Toekomsrus with gifts to show them appreciation this Women’s Month.

The aim of the event on 9 August was to make the teachers feel special.

The officers were also joined by Victim-Friendly Room supporter Rashida Abrahams.

Randfontein Police spokesperson Sergeant Carmen Hendricks said they wanted to do something special for the teachers.

Teachers are not being recognised for the hard work they do every day and we as the Randfontein police together with our station commander Brigadier Mashole Manamela saw it fit to show appreciation to these wonderful women and make them feel special.

“They are passionate, selfless, creative and loving, and we presented them with a certificate just to remind them how special they are every day, especially on those days when they might not feel valued,” said Hendricks.

The teachers were each gifted a scarf, a lollipop and small thank-you cards, with a special message written on them.
