The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng as of February 14 sits at 1 181 117 with 1 152 958 recoveries and 20 525 deaths.

A total number of 1 651 people are currently hospitalised in the public (786) and private (865) facilities.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 64 213 with 62 045 recoveries and 1 747 deaths. This translates to a total of 421 active cases.

A total of 8 584 808 Covid-19 vaccinations have been administered in the Gauteng Province as of February 14. The total number of individuals fully vaccinated is 4 445 017.

In the West Rand, which comprises Mogale City, Rand West City, and Merafong City, 593 171 vaccinations have been administered, with 308 087 individuals fully vaccinated.

All persons older than 12 years old are encouraged to visit their nearest vaccination site to receive the jab. It is thought that vaccinating 70% or more of the adult population can minimise the impact of the fourth wave. The Department of Health (DoH) further reminds the public that those who received a two-dose vaccine need to return for their second dose at 42 days. All Gauteng sites, both private and public, accept walk-ins whether people are registered on the EVDS or not.
