Covid-19 and other comorbidities testing: Where and when to go in Rand West City

If you need to get tested for Covid-19 or HIV, screened for TB, have your blood sugar screened or even need chronic medication you can visit the following sites in Rand West City until January 22.

The West Rand District Health Department is inviting the community to get free Covid-19 tests done at their sites this week.

The department’s communications admin, Zoliswa Nzeku said in addition to the coronavirus tests, HIV, TB and blood pressure tests will also be done for free this week from Tuesday, January 18 until Saturday, January 22. The sites are operational from 09:00 to 15:00.

Testing will be done at the following sites:

• Randfontein Station Mall (Ward 06)

• Westonaria Pick n Pay( Ward 06)

• Umphakathni Mall (Ward 13)

• Siyahlalla (Ward 1)

• Kocksoord Spar (Ward 02)

• Bongweni (Ward 08)

• OR Tambo informal settlement (Ward 9)

• Mohlakeng Power Station (Ward 22)

• Westonaria Post Office (Ward 24)

• Simunye Ext 5 Carwash (Ward 27)

• Simunye Ext 1 Taxi Rank (Ward 27)

• Westonaria Taxi Rank (Ward 24)

• Bekkersdal Taxi Rank (Ward 31)

Vaccinations will be done at the following sites:

• Tuesday, January 18 at Randfontein Station Mall, Kocksoord Spar and Westonaria Post Office

• Wednesday, January 19 at Randfontein Station Mall, Bongweni and Simunye Ext 5 Carwash

• Thursday, January 20 at Randfontein Station Mall, OR Tambo informal settlement and Simunye Ext 1 Taxi Rank

• Friday, January 21 at Randfontein Station Mall, Westonaria Pick n Pay and Mohlakeng Power Station

• Saturday, January 22 at Umphakathni Mall, Randfontein Station Mall, Westonaria Pick n Pay and Westonaria Taxi Rank
