Young animal lover plans on making a difference

Keagan Bush wants to visit animal shelters in Krugersdorp, Roodepoort and Randfontein to spoil the animals.

A young animal lover is planning on doing his part for those who don’t have a voice.

Keagan Bush, 16, is planning an Animal Shelters Food Drive and plans to visit shelters in Randfontein and Krugersdorp.

I wish to visit Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary in Randfontein, The 9th Day in Krugersdorp and the Roodepoort/Krugersdorp SPCA, spend time with the animals and hand out some donations.”

Keagan said he truly loves animals, and that the animal shelters do a lot for animals in need. That is why he decided to help them because they don’t get a lot of assistance from the public.

“I’m planning to do some events for them later this year so that more people can become aware of them and their needs.”

He is appealing to the public to donate toys, blankets, animal beds, tinned dog and cat food, dry cat pellets, dry dog pellets, cat litter and cleaning materials to enable him to help the shelters.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. I plan to hand over the donations in two months’ time, depending on how many I have received.”

Anyone who would like to go to the shelters with Keagan or help him with donations can contact him on 074 019 0837.
