Gender-based violence awareness campaign held in Middelvlei

The community came together in unity for a universal message – "Enough is enough! Kwanele!" – against gender-based violence and other social ills in Middelvlei.

The Releo private clinic based in Middelvlei hosted a gender-based violence (GBV) awareness campaign during the festive season.

Organiser Sister Patricia Modibedi explained that the event was hosted in partnership with Boikanyo NGO, WAWA in Toekomsrus, Operating NPO, Youth Kusasa and several political structures.

The aim of the awareness campaign was to educate people on GBV and how to deal with it, as well as report it.”

Drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, HIV/Aids and nurturing the boy child were also discussed.
