Avantè has a new wall and cement company made it happen

'We decided to challenge ourselves by continuing the legacy that Nelson Mandela presented.'

Lafarge South Africa did a good deed by donating towards building a wall for Laerskool Avantè Primary School in Middelvlei.

“We decided to challenge ourselves by continuing the legacy that Nelson Mandela presented,” said Thami Nkadimeng, Corporate Communication Manager at Lafarge South Africa.

She explained that as part of the company continuing to build on its deep community relationships in the environments in which it operates, members of the Lafarge team officially unveiled the wall at Avantè on Tuesday, October 12.

“This was done in the spirit of heeding to the call by former President Barack Obama during the annual Mandela lecture delivered in Gauteng on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 to follow the example of persistence and hope displayed by Madiba, and although three years later, the journey of hope continues.”

Nkadimeng explained that Lafarge South Africa will continue to strive to make further contributions towards building better communities.

“We look forward to the continued work in the Randfontein area with the community as our partner,” said Nkadimeng.
