From being tested to getting vaccinated: This weeks plan in Rand West City

The Gauteng Health Department will continue providing pop-up sites for health screening until October 30.

The West Rand District Health Department is once again inviting the community to get free Covid-19 tests done at their sites this week.

Everyone aged 18 and older can get vaccinated on Saturdays as well.

The department’s communications officer, Nomagugu Hloma said in addition to the coronavirus tests, HIV, TB and blood pressure tests will be done for free this week from Sunday, October 24 to Saturday, October 30.

The sites are operational from 09:00 to 15:00.

Planned sites for screening and testing:

• Greenhills Stadium (Ward 6)

• Tambotie Mall (Ward 6)

• Westonaria Pick n Pay (Ward 24)

• Toekomsrus Flats Ext 2 (Ward 8)

• Borwa Taxi Rank (Ward 26)

• Mphe Seriti (Pelzvale) (Ward 12)

• Simunye Ext 2 next to graveyard (Ward 28)

• Village Mall (Ward 5)

• West End Clay Brick (Ward 17)

• Meadow Feeds (Ward 6)

• Simunye Ext 5 carwash (Ward 27)

• Holfontein (Ward 1)

• Simunye Post Office (Ward 28)

• Mohlakeng Engen Garage (Ward 15)

• Simunye Ext 2 next to clinic ( Ward 28)

Vaccinations will be done at the following sites:

• Sunday, October 24 at Greenhills Stadium, Tambotie Mall and Westonaria Pick n Pay
• Monday, October 25 at Greenhills Stadium, Borwa taxi rank and Toekomsrus Flats
• Tuesday, October 26 at Greenhills Stadium and Mphe Serite (Pelzvale)
• Wednesday, October 27 at Greenhills Stadium, West End Clay Bricks and Village Square Mall
• Thursday, October 28 at Greenhills Stadium , Meadow Feeds and Simunye Ext 5 car wash
• Friday, October 29 at Greenhills Stadium, Holfontein and Simunye Post Office
• Saturday, October 30 at Greenhills Stadium, Mohlakeng Engen Garage and Simunye Ext 2 next to clinic
