The Gauteng Health Department will continue providing pop-up sites for health screening from August 17 to August 19. Here is where they will be in Rand West City.

The West Rand District Health Department is once again inviting the community to get free Covid-19 tests done at their sites this week. Everyone aged 35 and older can get vaccinated on Saturdays too.

The department’s communications officer, Nomagugu Hloma said in addition to the coronavirus tests, HIV, TB and blood pressure tests will be done for free this week from Tuesday, August 17 to Thursday, August 19.

The sites are operational from 09:00 to 15:00.

Testing will be done at the following sites:

• Tuesday, August 17 at Mohlakeng Extension 4 and Westonaria Pick n Pay

• Wednesday, August 18 at Kocksoord Spar

• Thursday, August 19 at Badirile Park

Hloma said on the other days residents can get tested at their local clinics and healthcare facilities.

Weekend vaccination sites are now also open in Rand West City on Saturdays from 08:00 to 13:00 at Greenhills Stadium, the Westonaria Banquet Hall and Ramosa Hall in Mohlakeng.

Hloma added they are urging people who are 35 and older to get vaccinated on Saturdays. Walk-ins are accepted in Gauteng, and all you need to get your jab is your ID or other specified proof of identity.
