An interdenominational prayer and worship was held at the Robinson Hospital to restore hope

An interdenominational prayer and worship was held at the Robinson Hospital, outside the casualty ward on the evening of Wednesday 21 July, to restore hope among the sick, staff and the community at large.

Coordinator of the prayer, Pastor Martie Erasmus of Woord En Lig Randfontein, said after seeing people suffering from Covid -19 and losing their lives, they’ve decided to give the community reassurance that everything will be alright.

“The message we wanted to send out to the community was that even when people are dying at such large numbers, we must still believe that God is with us and he’ll help us get through this,” Erasmus said.

During the session, she said praises were sang, while different religious members prayed in English and Afrikaans.

“We’d like to thank the community for joining as we praised the Lord in restoring faith in the community. We would also like to thank management of Robinson Hospital for allowing us to bring hope to many of their patients and staff members, this was such a blessing,” Erasmus said.

Erasmus thanked the following people for taking part in the prayer session: Pastor Abri Erasmus, Pastor Cobus Bosshoff , Pator Brett Smitsdorff and ATKV Comezo branch.

“Randfontein be the light and be the hope and let’s pray for each other, and God bless you,” Erasmus added.
