Different uniforms in respect of Youth Day

'We wanted to show liberation and unity among today's youth. Youth Day is something that should never be forgotten' – Phahama Secondary School in Mohlakeng.

Assistant teachers and youth of Phahama Secondary School in Mohlakeng commemorated the youth of 1976 by wearing the uniforms of various schools.

One of the assistant teachers, Khanyisile Zwane said today’s youth simply wanted to show liberation and respect to the youth who made sacrifices many years ago.

“Youth Day is something that should never be forgotten.

“It is very important to keep their legacy alive so that others can know what they have done for us. We want to show that their legacy does not die, because they have helped to play a big role for us who are here today,” Zwane said.
