Food relief for Cast Aways

Thanks to Pick n Pay Helikon Park and their clients, two trolleys full of dog and cat food could be donated to Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary.

Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary recently had a food drive at Pick n Pay Helikon Park. It was organised by Marie Schoombie, a representative of the sanctuary.

Owner and founder of the sanctuary, Louisa Rossouw explained the drive ran from Saturday, May 29 until Saturday, June 12, and thanks to Pick n Pay Helikon Park and their clients, two trolleys full of dog and cat food could be donated to the sanctuary.

Brian Norsworthy, owner of Pick n Pay Helikon Park said that they decided to support the sanctuary because they wanted to have fewer four-legged friends on the streets and make sure the animals were well taken care of, especially in winter.

“Thank you to Pick n Pay management for the support, as well as to every client that donated a bag of can of cat and dog food. We would not have been able to pull through and continue to take care of our rescue animals without the support of the public,” Louisa said.
