Number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City now at 7 443

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the West Rand is at 857 according to the latest report by the Gauteng Provincial Government.

According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 7 443. A total of 7 009 people have recovered so far.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 13 960 and 5 606 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 13 003 and 5 271 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 27 016 with 874 deaths and 25 285 recoveries. This brings the total number of active cases in the District to 857.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 23 110 and 21 764 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 458 072 with 431 451 recoveries and 11 224 deaths. This translates to 15 397 active cases within the Province.
