Connie employees get new wheels

Four bicycles donated to male employees to help with transport to and from work.

The Connie Mulder Centre’s male employees are thrilled after four bicycles were donated to them on Wednesday, 27 January.

Fransie Hulme, spokesperson of the centre, said the bicycle initiative was started by members of the parent committee.

“A request for donations of bicycles were put on the parents’ WhatsApp group and the response to the request exceeded all expectations,” said Fransie.

She added that the four bicycles were given to their male employees as a mode of transport to get to and from work.

By using the bicycles they are saving on public transport costs as it has become expensive,” adding that another plus is that they are getting daily exercise.

“We are very appreciative towards the initiators of the project as well as the donors for their positive, kind and generous response,” said Fransie.
