Locals give praise to healthcare workers

The Herald hit the streets where locals expressed their gratitude to all healthcare workers in the frontline of the pandemic.

The Herald has caught up with members of the community who expressed their gratitude to all doctors, nurses and caregivers who are putting their lives at risk during the current pandemic.

This is what they had to say:

“I would like to express my gratitude to all the healthcare workers who are working tirelessly during this difficult time when we face the pandemic. I say thank you, because they’ve ensured our well-being as the nation. We appreciate their selflessness; may God bless and protect them all and their families,” Fikile Sondela said.

“If I were to write about all the reasons that I am grateful to all nurses and doctors during this trying time on a piece of paper, they would fill up an entire page! You are amazing and we salute you as we are so blessed to have your support, compassion and commitment. Thank you for everything you have done for us and continue to do for us,” Wendy Eno said.

“I take my hat off to the medical professionals working on the frontline of the coronavirus. Their selflessness, unwavering dedication to their profession by upholding the Hippocratic Oath to treat their patients to the best of their ability – often under very difficult circumstances – should be commended,” Joy Hamann said.

“Thank you for all you have done for all our communities in your efforts to keep us safe. In times of not knowing the answer, you have all been resilient and ready to put your lives on the line. You are appreciated and worthy. I pray that you get the recognition that you all deserve,” Enrique Bhana said.
