Covid 19: Cases in Rand West City pass the 6 000 mark

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 21 284 with 548 deaths and 18 801 recoveries.

According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 6 079. A total of 5 228 people have recovered so far. There has been a total of 159 Covid-19 related deaths.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 11 221 and 3 977 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 10 024 and 3 543 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 21 284 with 548 deaths and 18 801 recoveries.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 18 563 and 16 457 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 364 269 with 315 982 recoveries and 7 009 deaths.
