Action sport back at Key West

What better place to get rid of the heavy level lockdown blues than at Key West's Indoor and Action Sports centre?

It’ time to put on your sporting gear and get straight into some action sport after heavy lockdown levels. What better place to do this than at the Key West Indoor and Action Sport Centre?

This community sport centre has been open again since the start of Level 2 of lockdown when they got the go-ahead from Cricket South Africa.

But even the strict Covid-19 protocols and social distancing are not getting the better of them as they are currently busy with their Junior Cricket U/9 and U/11 league on Friday evenings. In a week’s time they are kicking off their indoor hockey league as well as their first-ever junior action netball league.

Werner van Heerden from the centre explained that they expanded the centre even before lockdown. They currently offer karate and wrestling, and have a cricket, netball, soccer, hockey and rugby academy. They have added a few extra fields to their ever-growing sports centre.

He explained that children grow and develop at their own pace and that talented athletes can be overlooked because they do not get the right coaching. At their sport academies the coaches are committed to developing the athletes’ full potential.

He is inviting parents to bring their children to one of their sport academies where he claims they will get the best coaching according to their needs.
