RCA celebrates its 10th birthday
'We would like to thank parents, staff members, the church congregation and everyone involved' – RCA principal.
Randfontein Christian Academy (RCA) celebrated its 10th birthday on Tuesday, 13 October.
According to Dr Chris Ayres, RCA principal, the school has overcome many challenges to reach the milestone.
Since 2010, the school has made some extensive improvements and lived up to its expectation. Our school went through different phases but we are gradually growing,” Dr Ayres said.
Dr Ayres added that school has managed to establish itself well and have been able to maintain a high standard.
“Our learners are performing exceptionally well. We are so proud that some of our learners even advance to the next grade before time. Space is, however, still an issue at the school and if we ever reach a limit of learners we admit at our school, it would be because we have small school grounds,” Dr Ayres said.
The principal went on thank local parents who have chosen to entrust the school with their children and who supported the school the past decade.

Wayne Scullard, the northern region manager of Accelerated Education Enterprises (AEE), mother owner of RCA, also handed over a clock to the school as a symbol of standing the test of time.
“I think what’s significant is that the school has gone through a lot of difficulties. Against all odds, they are where they are today and we just want to congratulate them for this success,” Scullard said.
