Elderly couple tied up in Culemborg Park home invasion – Mapogo

Mapogo reveals latest crime report, adding that two to three crime incidents are reported weekly.

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security in Randfontein released its latest crime report for the long weekend from Thursday, 24 September to Sunday, 27 September.

Herman Coetzee, operations manager at Mapogo said criminal activity in Randfontein seems to be stable at a rate of two to three incidents reported weekly.

He added that one of the serious incidents reported was a home invasion in Culemborg Park where an elderly couple was held up inside their home and electronic equipment was stolen.

According to Coetzee, there was also an incident of shoplifting in the CBD. The shop owner apprehended the suspect who allegedly attempted to steal electronic equipment from the shop.
