Road 5 Hillside Agricultural Holdings has a brand-new surface.
Let us hope that abusive motorists appreciate the work put into it and use the road lawfully now. I am sure the pedestrians, young and elderly whose safety was compromised before the new surface was laid will be appreciative.
What is the expected life of a road with a new surface if there are no kerb stones to contain this surface when the big rigs, pulling two trailers, start flying up and down this road?
When this happens the new surface is going to be pushed onto the dirt unless these vehicles are prevented from using a road that is supposed to be for light motor vehicle and agricultural vehicles only.
I will continue taking photographs of motorists on Road 5 who continue to flout the traffic laws. If I submit photographs of this type of motorists I hope that those powers that be at the traffic department can in some way penalise these people.
I also hope that the traffic department could arrange regular visits by traffic personnel to patrol Road 5, Hillside.
