Covid-19: Rand West City now has 2 010 confirmed cases with 600 recoveries

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 17 July is 8 232, with 88 deaths and 2 830 recoveries. There are 361 new cases.

As at 17 July, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 2 010, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 600 people have recovered so far.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 4 330 and 1 801 cases respectively. There are 91 unallocated cases in this District as well. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 1 419 and 811 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 17 July is 8 232, with 88 deaths and 2 830 recoveries. There are 361 new cases.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 7 296, with 3 665 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 123 408, with 55 350 recoveries and 917 deaths.

Currently, 2 686 people are being treated for the virus in public and private hospitals in the province.
