Village Square gives back to its car guards

Village Square Shopping Centre management provided their car guards with grocery packages to help them cope during lockdown.

Village Square Shopping Centre management assisted all their car guards with care packages filled with essential grocery items and non-perishable goods.

Vuyo Gcingca, marketing manager of Village Square Shopping Centre said these grocery packages were handed over to all 26 their car guards to lend them a helping hand during these challenging times.

“Village Square Shopping Centre understands that Covid-19 has become a challenging part of everyday life for all South Africans.

The nationwide lockdown announced by the President meant that our car guards had to stay home and not earn a living during this period.

“We would like to thank Shoprite in particular for assisting with packaging and delivering these grocery packs. We also gracefully take this opportunity to thank our community for their on-going and valued support,” she added.

Playing their part in preventing the spread of Covid-19, Vuyo said, “We would like to reach out to our shoppers and assure them that we are committed to playing our part in preventing the spread of Covid-19.

We are taking all the necessary precautions to make sure that the Centre remains a safe space for you, your loved ones, and the community we serve.

“We urge customers to wash their hands regularly, keep a safe distance from others, and adhere to coughing and sneezing etiquette.”
