Ten learners among 12 injured in taxi-bakkie crash

Bakkie and taxi collide leaving at least 10 children injured on the R41.

A collision between a bakkie and taxi left at least 12 people injured including 10 children on the R41 as one enters Randfontein on Friday afternoon, 14 February.

According to Tumi Riba, Herald journalist who is on scene, 10 of the injured are school learners who at this point sustained minor injuries only.

“They were transported to Leratong Hospital for further medical care. Although traffic was backed up the road has now been cleared.”

Riba added local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
