A promising soccer youngster of Randfontein

"He can help encourage others on how they can make their soccer dreams come true."

Meet Randfontein’s young aspiring professional soccer player, Junior Moeketsi, who has big dreams and a bright future ahead of him.

Junior’s coach, Bongani Ace Duiker, said the 11-year-old has shown improvement in many aspects of his game.

“He can help encourage others on how they can make their soccer dreams come true.”

Bongani said that Junior has only been training for three months at the Greenhills Soccer Academy and so far he is one of Randfontein’s most promising soccer players.

“I started loving soccer because my father used to play with me when I was little. I then started looking for professional help,” Junior said.

Junior added that since he has been playing professionally, he has managed to brush up his soccer skills.

“When I first trained with him, I saw that he had plenty of potential, but the thing that he had to work on was his tactics. The talent and passion were definitely there,” Bongani said.

The coach went on to say that if there were more children like Junior in the community, who firstly possess a passion for soccer, them maybe future generations would stand a chance to amount to better things in life, and escape the many social ills they fall victim to.

“The most important thing is to get them focused and at a later stage we can work on their skills and nurturing their talents.

“We give them an opportunity to work on dribbling, communication and passing. It is truly young boys like Junior who already know what they want and how to go about reaching their goals,” Bongani said.
