On 15 October this year, the public was shocked to read the news that residents of Rand West City could expect an interruption to the electricity supply as of Wednesday, 27 November 2019.

Brenda Mahumo, the Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) Executive Mayor, said the municipality will do everything in its power to make sure the lights stay on.
