End of Transport Month but not policing, warns mayor

The Executive Mayor of the Rand West City Local Municipality, Brenda Mahuma addressed members of the Rand West City Traffic Department on the R28 about the importance of road safety on Thursday, 31 October.

It also marked the end of Transport Month, but regular festive-season road-safety operations will continue.

While on site, the mayor and her entourage interacted with several motorists who were fined for various traffic offences, such as driving without a driver’s licence, expired licence discs, and the poor condition of their vehicles.
