#Throwback Thursday – 30 October 1987

The Herald goes back, way back to 30 October 1987 for this week's Throwback Thursday.

Itā€™s #ThrowbackThursdayĀ and theĀ HeraldĀ went back in time to 30 October 1987 to see what was in the news.

In the entertainment section of that edition, theĀ HeraldĀ reported onĀ Ricardo and FriendsĀ who entertained the crowd at the Lion Lager Festival held in Mohlakeng in 1987.

We have since caught up with Victoria Mokoena, who remembered the occasion. She was a child back then.

She said, “Most of the songs played back then brings back memories of my childhood”.

Die Herald het berig dat die erf wat die Stadsraad van Randfontein geskenk het, ten bate van die Natal Vloedrampfonds by die HF Verwoerdstadion opgeveil sal word.
