What has been dubbed ‘The obstacle racing weekend of the year’ featured three Spartan Race distances to choose from over two days (28 to 29 September) of racing, namely the Spartan Beast, the Spartan Ultra and the Spartan Trail.
According to the official website, https://www.spartan.com, the Spartan Beast tested everything you’re made of – strength, endurance and resolve, with 21km and 30 obstacles between you and the finish line.
“The battle in my head was easy because Carien motivated me on the side. Also, how could I quit if she had already finished the race the day before?” Johan asked.
“I am proud to say that every SA Spartan finished the race, but we all struggled!”
