Young woman and child critical in W’aria crash

Three people in total injured, two seriously, in early evening three-vehicle collision in Westonaria.

A teenager and a young woman were seriously injured while a man sustained moderate injuries only, during a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of the N12 and R28 in Westonaria on Monday evening (9 September).

Ross Campbell, ER24 spokesperson, said the paramedics arrived on the scene at about 5.30pm to find that all the occupants of the three light motor vehicles had extricated themselves.

“A 14-year-old girl had suffered multiple injuries and was treated and transported to a private hospital in Randfontein. A woman in her 20s was transported by another service on the scene and a man in his 30s was treated for minor to moderate injuries and transported to Leratong Hospital for further care.

The Fire Department, traffic police as well as police were on the scene for further investigations.”
