WANTED: Finsbury house robbery suspects

Police release ID kit pictures of two possibly armed and dangerous suspects wanted for a house robbery in Finsbury.

Police and the West Rand Trio Task Team are appealing to members of the public to assist with information about the possible whereabouts of two suspects linked to a house robbery that took place in Randfontein two months ago.

According to Captain Raymond Sebonyane of the West Rand District Police, the incident took place in Finsbury at about 5.45pm on Thursday, 6 June.

He said the victim was at home with her son and his friend when suddenly the kids started screaming that there were strangers in their house threatening them with a firearm.

“The suspects locked all of them in the bathroom and fled the scene with the victim’s silver BMW 320i with registration number BJ 27 WH GP, a Hisense TV, a Telefunken TV, a laptop and an undisclosed amount of cash.

“The victim was able to assist the police with compiling ID kits of the two suspects. They are believed to be between the ages of 30 and 40, and both were speaking Setswana.”

The police are appealing to the community not to confront the suspects as they are armed and dangerous. Rather call the police on 10111 or 011 767 2300, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. Alternatively, contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer van Zyl on 082 413 2635/ 082 322 1974.
